Imagine you've built a solid base of nearly 30,000 followers on Instagram. You're diligent. You publish content every single day. And yet you can't shake the nagging feeling that all this time you've been shouting into the void.
That's exactly how the @detoxikujzivot.cz profile looked in August 2024, right before we rolled up our sleeves. Stable numbers, a beautiful theme (personal growth, detoxing the mind, relationships), but potential locked in the cage of old habits.
And worse? The account was hooked on regular infusions from paid campaigns.
Dead end: Recycling won't make a viral hit
When we ran the initial audit, we found a classic case of burned-out content marketing. The profile was spinning in a loop of recycling. Everything that went out was just chopped-up, long-winded videos from YouTube. Nicely subtitled, sure, but with absolutely no text hook.
On Instagram you have about 1.5 seconds to stop a scrolling thumb. Without a strong hook at the start of the video, people simply swipe past. And if they happened to watch to the end? A limp CTA was waiting for them — something like "check out our website" or "link in bio." Be honest — when did you last actually click the link in bio under a random video?
August 2024 was our launchpad. The profile generated 344,000 views and reached roughly 28,000 people. Looks decent? Sure, but don't forget there was ad money pumped into it.
Our first and most radical move was to switch off paid ads entirely.
Operation Detox: What we had to change
When you pull the ads, you put yourself on the line. All that's left is raw organic reach. We knew that if this was going to work, we had to build an entirely new, bulletproof strategy. We built it on four uncompromising pillars.
1. Data-driven creation: Don't guess, measure
Why would we blindly guess what people on Instagram care about when we already had a gold mine of data elsewhere? We analysed the most-read and most-searched topics from the client's blog and reforged them into social content. We found that topics like destructive relationships, the law of attraction, exhaustion and instant relief resonated the most. We stopped firing blind and started serving people exactly what they'd been unknowingly asking for.
2. Carousels: The weapon of mass saving
Everyone today is obsessed with reels. Yes, short videos are great for top-of-funnel exposure and reaching people outside your bubble. But if you want to build a deep relationship, educate, and above all make the algorithm love you, you need saves.
We started creating 5–10-slide educational carousels. Why? Carousels have an average engagement rate of around 1.92% against reach, while classic reels sit at roughly 1.74%. They also lead on reach rate. When someone swipes through eight slides, they spend many times longer on the post, and if they save it for later on top of that, Instagram gets a clear signal: "This is premium content, show it to everyone."
3. ManyChat: The end of dead links in bio
You know the feeling — you see a great post, you want more info, but the author forces you to go to their profile, hunt for the right link and click through websites. You won't do it. We cut out that friction. We deployed automation through ManyChat.
Instead of "click the link in bio," we introduced a call to action: "Comment the word DETOX and I'll send the link straight to your messages." Instagram DMs have a brutal open rate — easily around 90%, whereas with a classic email you're celebrating if you break 20%.
4. Pure organic growth
No tricks, no purchases, no ads. Every single bit of reach from September 25 onward was won 100% by the quality of the content. We backed the personal brand with a new mix of b-roll motivational videos and classic talking-head formats.
Results: When the numbers sing
| Month | Views | Reach | Interactions |
|---|---|---|---|
| August (Before) | 344,463 | 27,887 | 8,979 |
| October | 374,100 (+65% vs September) | 23,400 | 7,200 |
| November | 396,185 (+11%) | 24,953 | 9,395 |
| December (Finale) | 520,449 (+27%) | 31,634 | 12,210 (+36%) |
Let me add a bit of industry context. The average engagement rate (ER) on Instagram across industries in 2025 hovers around a feeble 0.48% per follower.
Our champion, the carousel "How to manifest your desires," hit an engagement rate of 4.57%. It brought in 505 likes, 376 comments and a staggering 309 saves. That's content that screams into the algorithm's ear that this profile deserves attention.
Now to reach (reach rate). The common wisdom for Instagram is that good post reach is roughly 3.5% of your audience. In December, our account reached a total of 31,634 unique users. Against a base of just under 30,000, that works out to an incredible 107.6% reach rate. We literally reached more people organically than actually follow us. No boosts. Pure content.
Thanks to ManyChat, we picked up 3,070 new contacts entirely organically. That's three thousand people in the database ready for further communication.
Imagine what this volume of leads would cost you through ordinary paid campaigns. We pulled it off simply by changing the way we call viewers to action.
The golden rules of the new Instagram
From this project we're taking three absolutely essential rules into our future campaigns:
Automate conversations, not posts
Forget "link in bio." People are lazy. Don't ask them to click out of the app. Offer them value in exchange for commenting a specific word. ManyChat then takes care of automatically landing the link in their messages. It boosts both the interaction rate under the video and conversions themselves.
Saves are the new shares
Reels may generate nice views from new people, but if you want to build a real community, invest in carousels. They're literally "engagement machines" that people love to save for later. And saves carry enormous weight with the algorithm.
Data beats gut feeling
Don't create content based on what you think might work. Look into the Google Analytics of your website or blog. What do people actually read? What are their problems? Then turn that into a social post. That's exactly how the hit "8 signs of total physical burnout" was born.
Your profile can do the same
This growth (51% in views over three months) is no accident, and it's certainly not magic. It's the result of a thought-through content strategy, an understanding of the algorithm and the use of smart tools. We didn't pay Instagram for attention — we made it give us that attention on its own.
If you feel like you're shouting into the void on social media, maybe you don't need more money for ads. Maybe you just need a better strategy. And that's exactly what we can help you with.
